He tono tēnei nā te Koromatua o Pōneke ko Justin Lester, me te Koromatua Tuarua o Pōneke ko Jill Day. E ngā mana rangatahi o te motu, tēnā koutou katoa.
Wellington City Council is pleased to be continuing our participation in the rangatahi leadership programme. This year we are also excited to have both the Mayor and Wellington’s first female Māori Deputy Mayor involved.
This initiative for Pōneke rangatahi has been powerful and rewarding for past participants. We believe leadership development within a distinctive Māori cultural framework has a positive impact on young people and their futures.
We now invite rangatahi Māori residing in Wellington to apply to be our 2018 Tuia o Pōneke.
Please read the information about the Tuia programme so that you know what is expected of you during this exciting programme.
To apply, send a letter telling us about yourself and addressing the topic:
“Me Heke ki Pōneke – te wāhi whai moemoeā! Come to Wellington – the place of the possible!”
The closing date for applications is Friday 2 February 2018.
Send your letter to:
Mayor Justin Lester
