  • Students given opportunity to explore local industry

    Students in the Eastern Bay of Plenty were given the opportunity to explore the local electricity supply industry, which was oraniseg through the Eastern Bay Energy Trust and Connexis. 

    The course is designed for secondary school students and covers the fundamentals elements of electricity supply. Throughout the course, the participants visited various energy plants and factory, and were given the opportunity to explore the industry with hands on experience.

  • Q&A with Matamata-Piako 2014 Tuia delegate

    Bryan Rawiri, 25 years old, was born and raised in Matamata and belongs to the eastern Waikato iwi of Ngati Haua.  He is currently completing his apprenticeship in Baking. Bryan was the TUIA delegate in 2014 for the Matamata-Piako District, where he was mentored by the Mayor.
